Essential Reading and Mathseeds workbooks
1. Are the workbooks the same as the Activity Sheets under bonus material in the online Reading Eggs and Mathseeds program?
Yes, the Activity Sheets are the same however, the Essential Skills Workbooks have lots of added material. The workbooks were created to help cater to parents who require comprehensive reinforcement of the learning from the online lessons. At the end of each 4-page unit, there is a quick review section for the children as well as the parent to determine the child’s progress. Plus, these books have a quiz at the end of every ten lessons along with a certificate. The Workbooks also have a year planner to provide an overview of the lesson focus for the year. Parents find this particularly helpful.
2. Do the workbooks come with the answer key?
The Reception and Year 1 level Essential Skills Workbooks do not contain answers as the content is simple and straightforward. Answers are available within the Year 2 Reading Essentials Skills Workbook. The Maths Essential Skills Workbook for Year 3 also contains answers.
3. Do the workbooks correspond to the online lessons?
Yes, the Reading Essential Skills Workbooks for Reception and Year 1 match Reading Eggs online lessons 1-120.
The Maths Essential Skills Workbooks for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 match Mathseeds online lessons 1-150.
4. Do I need to have the online lessons to use the workbooks?
These workbooks provide a physical component to reinforce what students learn in our online Reading Eggs and Mathseeds program; however, the workbooks will work as a standalone resource as well.
Activity Books
1. Are the Activity Books the same as the activity sheets under bonus material in the online Reading Eggs and Mathseeds program?
The Activity Books and Activity Sheets under the bonus material tab in the family dashboard will cover the same content as both these resources correspond to the online program.
2. What year level are the Activity Books for?
The Activity Books have been designed to meet the requirements of children aged between 4 -7. They can be used by Reception – Year 2 levels.
3. Do the Activity Books come with the answer keys?
There are no answers in the Activity Books as the content covered in these books is basic and easy.
4. Do the Activity Books work alongside the online lessons?
Yes, the Activity Books have been designed to work alongside the online lessons. We have eight Activity Books that correspond to the first 80 lessons of the online program. Each Activity Book corresponds to a set of 10 online lessons.
5. What is the difference between the Activity Books and the Workbooks?
The Activity Books are supplementary materials that help reinforce what children have learnt from the online Reading Eggs lessons (1-80).

The Reading Eggs Mini Book Packs give your child the perfect opportunity to put their newfound reading skills into action. Once your child completes a lesson in the Reading Eggs online program, they can read the matching books. By reading a real book that matches their reading ability, children receive a powerful confidence boost that will keep them motivated to keep learning and improving their skills.
Reading Eggs Mini Book Pack Bundle 1 includes the first four mini book packs, corresponding with lessons 1–40 in the online program.
2. What is an Activity Book and Mini Book Pack Bundle?
These packs are designed to supplement the award-winning Reading Eggs online program, or they can be used on their own.
